    Alaska Offroad Warriors

I was watching episode 1 of a TV show called Alaska Offroad Warriors. Turns out there is a 300tdi defender 90 on it! Appears to be one of those NAS variants. It's turning out to be a pretty awesome show!

Premise of the show is a trek north to south across Alaska, with teams alternating the mapping of their route and being self reliant. Most are modest 4x4's ie not the mega bucks rigs that would walk all over the challenge. In addition to the defender, there is a FJ55 cruiser, a toyota surf, and a '45 willys jeep.

Not sure if/when such a show will be on free to air, but it is available online.

I saw a couple of episodes while overseas a couple of months ago.
Do you have to subscribe to the history channel to view it online?

I heard from a friend of a friend that there might be a torrent for it.
    Just hearsay though...

    Alaska Offroad on Foxtel

    hi all,

Last night on foxtel at 9.30-10.30pm was a show called alaska offroad on channel A&E which features a race thru alaska by 5x 4wd's including 2 forunners, old LC, old jeep and a defender/LR 90. all have massive wheels & mods, couple of USA red necks but reminds me of the camel trophy days. lots of mud, some breakages, sadly in this 3rd installment the 90 broke down and cannot continue. next week part 4 will only have 4 contestants still interesting viewing. thought people may want to watch it. cheers

I watched a couple of episodes but the rednecks put me right off so I won't be watching any more.

I was surprised the 90 was a 300Tdi in the USA - and it's RHD.

I don't know what engine is in the FJ55 but it has more grunt than mine had.

Not wanting to give it away (not that there is a plot to follow or anything like that) but a series landy makes an appearance in the later episodes
