I see a lot of adverts for a new thing called "STAN" which is apparently a movie channel. They advertise unlimited movies for $10 per month. How does this work??? Is it downloaded through your computer, if it does it means I would have to buy more download time thereby negating the so called cheap $10 a month.
I have tried reading their web site but I am still scratching my head.
p.s. I was thinking of linking my TV in to watch the movies and I know a have to buy a thingy called "Chromecast", but how does it get it's signal???
the movies are transmitted via your internet connection
anything you watch is included in your downloads by your isp so you definitely need to take that into account when considering your options.
i am not sure what definition they are in or whether you can chose high / low but each movie would consume roughly 1.5g of your download limit i would think if in hd and as most isp's measure data sent and received the control data would also be included..
maybe pose the question to stan....
and now you know why murdoch switched sides when the NBN was announced and why he went where he did when they said they were going to neuter it...
just sayin...
