Actually Red Bull are very lucky they got a penalty that can be reversed.

If you look closely at the incident,Tander didn't see the Volvo,which he then hit.
He would have been looking at Whincup,aiming to get past.

All happens in a split second.....

Red Bull have lodged a protest.

I hope the decision is not reversed.

The stewards made their decision, I mean , really , Whincup caused the incident.....it was preventable .....he could have made a better move later.....he had the speed and the time.

I'm sure Tander hit Whincup before he hit the Volvo.

What a darn shame that happened , I reckon the finish would have been even better had they all had to see if they had the fuel to finish.


I am no expert but whincup would have not made that pass 10/10 times , but he tried to do the right thing and we will never know how things would have panned out.


judging by the reaction of pit straight plenty think the right decision was made.

You go where the best drive is, the manufacturers have no driver loyalty, it's just marketing to the manufacturer.

Back in the early years drivers were passionate about what they drove and even privateers could enter but nowadays like all sports it's all about the money
