Not exactly on TV (that I know of), a recent ABC on line article about a woman who is one of the last survivors who remember spending part of their childhood living in the dessert with no contact with or knowledge of European Australia. Among pictures shown is one grouped around the back end of a "Toyota" - which is quite clearly a lwb Landrover Series 2 or 3 109, even though it is only a side on view from the back of the wheel arch back.

And the first thing they probably heard was "can you give me a push?"

Gives a whole new meaning to the term car-go cult.

I see the Gold Coast Aquis horse racing track is using a D4 camera car, probably won't be an advantage much longer to have air suspension as drones will probably take over the camera work.

During yesterday's Tour Down Under, I noticed a couple of Series Land Rovers along the road from Aldinga to Willunga, parked at or next-door to "Native Avenue", not sure if it was a piece of ambush marketing as one had "More Land Rovers Wanted" on the windscreen and when I looked the number up it belongs to Land Rover Heaven.

I also saw a black L322 Range Rover about 5 ks from the Wilinga finishing line and a brown or dark bronze D1 with a toolbox trailer on the Nairne stage IIRC.
