Well that's easy to answer, they didn't let them reconfigure the roll bars to allow for the lower roof profile. They basically fitted the mustang panels on the same chassis that was used for the falcons

Absolutely, and I think I’m going to go for one of them, but they certainly have been hit with the ugly stick.

Great seeing a couple of guys who race/raced with us in Excels going well in the 86s, Ben Grice 2nd and Jay Robotham 5th.

Excellent Gav, how are you watching it,...TV ch 10, etc or what.
I'll be interested to see what you think, if you manage to watch the whole race, weather is good, all cars & drivers present!
There would be a few teams/drivers pretty happy/confident at this time, but it's 1000ks at Bathurst, and as Craig Lowndes just said "Anything can happen",....and it does.

Watching it on free to air - took me a while to find that button on my remote - I don’t think I’ve actually watched FTA on this TV since I bought it around 8 months ago, only usually watch some streaming services and YouTube on it. Have it on mute at the moment waiting for all the pre race BS to be done with. Will let you know what I think, I am looking forward to it though. 👍

Oh, and I’m hedging my bets. Can’t decide between Lowndes/Whincup, McLaughlin/Premat or Kelly/Wood. If any of them finish well, I’ll be happy. 👍

Brand doesn’t mean much to me any more, so basing this on the Drivers I like the most.

Yeah, that's me, sometimes it's the team, but the driver is important to me,.....but really, I'm happy as long as its good close racing,....and already there's drama,....a back marker has broken down, holding up the start,...hope you don't get too many ads!

They did exactly the same thing with the Commodore - grafted the new panels onto the old chassis.
