Late post but love the series, can't wait till long way down comes out. It should be out within the next 12months..

And in trainspotting wasn't he? plus a string of others, saw a B grade Sci-fi a few weeks ago that wasn't too bad, can't remember what it was called tho.

If you liked "The Long Way Round", you may also like "Race to Dakar". It's a similar documentry type series of Charlie Boorman (the other pom that is not Ewan McGregor in The Long Way Round) and two others (one is an Aussie) who compete as a team on the BMW's in the 2006 Race to Dakar. Really good viewing and gives a great insight into the race.

I was lucky enough to see 1 episode of this. I would love to see the whole thing.

i agree it was fantastic, everything they got to see and do could not be matched
