    Alone Australia

I watched TV for 30 minutes yesterday Alone Australia in SBS on Demand "ABC RN's Stop Everything! presenter Beverley Wang describes this docuseries as "one of the most extreme shows on television … this show frankly makes Survivor look like a walk in the park"."

Have to admit humming you'll be cold, wet homesick and ...... Some of the 10 who would fail were easy to pick. Some not

One person bulked up with 18KG of fat stores before the event!

Season 2 apparently wanted more crash test dummies for the next one. Application for it close yesterday alas for any of you wanting to win

The first few tap outs were extremely disappointing and anyone from overseas watching would be forgive for thinking how weak (or should that be woke) Australian's are.

30 mins? I watched the 1st two shows and that was 2 hrs. It seems unfair that they aren't told when others tap out (give up), as the winner might stay out there for years, like some Japanese soldiers after WW II.

Saw another 10 minutes while cooking some tasty quail. My thought are 30-50 days?

I am doing a 120ish km walk in winter this year. Happily, I take everything I need.

It is tough with no food. The fat store idea some of them have is valid to a point. I always exhaust my bodies carbohydrates/sugar store in Marathons by about 30kms. After that I run on fats. It hurts- each of the 60+ times I have run past that 'wall' I feel it and know the discomfort very very well.
The hunting guides thoughts he was not in his known environment or the very interesting former army people might make the grade. The lady who lives off grid as well. They picked some interesting people. tasty quail recipe to cooking

I do wonder if they purposely chose a few contestants that would tap out early just to give incentive for more people to apply for the 2nd season.

Yeah, I could have stayed out there for at least a few days without eating before I pulled the pin. I've camped in worse with less gear (apart from food). Not saying I'd make it longer term, but the first few outs were quite soft IMO.

Not sure on the AU version but in the OS season they have to stay out 90 days to win the prize - earlier seasons were last out won the money but they have changed that.
If you need to contact me please email homestarrunnerau@gmail.com - thanks - Gav.

They go and get the winner the day after the last loser has left. We have watched all the US seasons, some of them are great, some not so much. There was a scandinavian season that we tried to watch, we lasted about 20 minutes before we tapped out.
