    Is MASH still on TV?

Bring back F Troop, I say!

    And The Goodies!

And Zorro (do you realise that the TV show Zorro with Guy Williams is 50 years old)

MASH is on at 5pm Ch 7. Also on Foxtel but I don't waste my money on that.

However you can get all 11 seasons on DVD. Between my sister, dad and myself we have most of them covered.
I grew up with it. Best show ever!

F Troop was my favourite show!! One of the few series they didn't seem to repeat. What was the other good cowboys & Indian show that used to be on?

Well, media have to deal with a 'flakey' low IQ audience these days who can't concentrate and stay 'on topic'

TV shows that I enjoy: Boston Legal, Ramsey Nightmare Series, that travel cooking show with Paul Mercurio, Scrubs, The Chaser War On Everything, Good News show<whatever it's called> Two and a Half Men.
I liked Fraser when it was on.
Sometimes I watch SpicksnSpecks but it's patchy.

Commenting on cultures and humour, I think it's ridiculous to condemn or choose one as superior, there are some superb British shows and American ones too, but a plethora of absolute crap from both too.
Just the way it is I guess.

I have the boxed set of the whole series that my son had bought. It sits in the cupboard, unloved.

I no longer bother with Top Gear. It's too often the same. I stopped when it went to Ch 9 and haven't bothered since even though it's on Foxtel.

I do like NCIS - the original, not the LA version.

    Dr Who.
The last 3 Doctors have progressively re-generated the show...and this last one is getting interesting...
I reckon the Writers have hit their stride, lots of inter-connectiveness and new interpersonal dynamics.
Off-hand, I can't think of any American TV show that consistantly grabs my attention. - Too many 'movie-star' characters, with about as much 'depth'.
Yes, I know that TV is escapism, but their's is a mixture of laughable, bungling, indecisive (comedy/profound/idiotic) and taken to the ridiculous.

    - A bit like Bollywood movies, but lacking the story-lines and talent.

Add Silent Witness, Raising the Dead, Heartbeat, Whitechapel, Borgen, Wallender (Original and Branagh's)

ABC's Catalyst. - Loved the "Cholesterol" ones...Indeed, the 'frothing-at-the-mouth' reactions from the Establishment were most entertaining...

But I generally settle for Dr Who, and any British docos on SBS/ABC.
