Mmmm, the peaceful vibe of 'family life'! Yummy, two teenage kids, Ipods, 4 TVs, Playstations, "Hey Dad", etc. etc.!

    You must be under 30!
Never... playstations are banned in my house, and no ipods, 1 TV and the children all loved British crime dramas and shows such as Unit One and learning about the world around them. Now 3 adult daughters and a 13yo son who keeps me young. For that matter have two of my daughters twice each to India and Nepal. With son we regular mountain biking, hiking, camping and surfing. he's the one who's driving me to another disco.... I don;t have time to relax. Life is too short!

God, you remind me of the Neil Young song 'Old Man'!

    "... 24 and there's so much more..."

    Ever heard it?

JJJ is crap. It was good in the days of JJ on AM.

I normally listen to Vega but I turn the car radio off and CDs on when I'm going to/from work in the mornings. I can't stand the breakfast show rubbish.

you can bag JJJ all you want, but no other single entity has done more for australian music than triplej.
not a big fan of house, techno, drum and bass, hip hop etc, but there is always something interesting on the J's and it's never ads for penis enlargement or hair loss or strathfield car radios.
i was at school when double J was launched and have listened to it from day 1.
some , not all, of the new music put out there on triple j is really good stuff, ranging from country influences right through the spectrum to classical undertones and it is quite refreshing to hear the new stuff.
one of the latest competitions they are running at the moment is following on from their unearthed quest (discovering unsigned bands like silverchair, missy higgins, grinspoon to name a few) to "unearthed high" where they are looking for school-aged bands to launch into stardom.
it's gotta be a good thing.
don't put something down just because you don't like it. there are roughly 5 billion people on this planet and while your opinion may define your life, it doesn't make it the rule for everyone else.
