As much as some of us hate this guy, this is pretty good, particularly the engineering around towing.

Toyota used do a similar thing a 1.5 ton ute called a Stout or Stallion.
Toyota Stout - Wikipedia
Facelifted and modernised in March 1979, the 1.5-ton Stout now used the front pressings of the smaller Hilux but still fulfilled the same role as before. The bed used the same pressings as for the previous Stouts, meaning that there was a pronounced difference between the front and rear bodywork.
Where I did my apprenticeship we had a Stout and Lite Stout (second gen. according to the Wikipedia article linked), both had the early ubiquitous 1900 four as seen in everything from Coaster to Crown and Tiara, the former obviously car derived but the latter had split 16" wheels, a greater payload and possibly driveline.
I hope that the SD takes sales away from the big yank , overpriced, oversized trucks.
I thought this was going to be Andrew st Pierre White!
I think its just John Cadogens first 10mins of dribble and crap that does my head in. If you skip that, the rest has been good for the couple of his videos that I've watched. I thought this one was a great analysis.
Simon when you sift the Codogen vids he gives some good analysis and info. Another one who gives very good analysis (but who cuts to the chase without humour) is Robert Pepper. Cheers
