Many UK Tdi owners are mixing and running at 100% with no problems, we just had to be a bit careful when the temperature drops. For running in NSW I’d be happy running at >80% year round. If your using old oil, just make sure it’s very very well filtered and run as 50:50 mix. The trick with veg oil, is to make sure it is premixed before putting it in the tank.
We ran a Pug 306 on 80-100% year round, an old Citroen AX on 50% even with a CAV pump. If you are at all worried a 30% mix is deemed by most to be inordinately safe.
