    This is a female pompilid spider-hunting wasp dragging a paralysed Palystes spider to a nest where she will lay an egg in the body. The living spider provides the food for the larval wasp.

    Interesting and good behavour shot.
    Here many of the wasps do the same.
    The Orange Potter hunt for caterpillars instead.
    Once that the larva develop to a wasp, this wasps when adult remember where they born and will come back to build a nest in the same place.
    For this reason if you do not like to have this wasps in your home, the nest have to be destroy as soon it is closed.

    I am using the Nikon 70-300VR with the Nikon 6T diopter attached to the front of the telephoto lens.
    This gives a very good magnification for close-up photography but not for macro
    It is a very sharp setup, have a look at the head of the fly on the "Flying" competition thread that have just finished.
