One of the common visitors to our grevillea Fire Stripe bush is the majestic Orange Potter wasp.
I was waiting for the opportunity to capture one nice and sharp on a bloom when a female perched in a flower. Bingo I was happy
During the shooting a male come to see if was his lucky day and between both of them they made my photography day
Look at the weapon that have this wasp!
In this close up you can appreciate the fluid that come from the male

Truly stunning shots Arthur. You've got to be pretty happy with the results.
What camera/lens combo and settings?

Thank you for viewwing and your comments
I used the Nikon D300s with the Nikon 70-300VR
I set the camera in shutter speed priority and the speed in some images is 1/640sec. The ISO at 400 aperture f/5.6 and the focal lens to 300mm.
I am very happy with this lens at 300mm it is heaps better at 200mm
Cheers
good work keep it up
