Looks like a blowfly after a big night on the grog. Seriously I have no idea
I need the help from the bush insect experts about this fly.
I think that it is a Blue Fly, Black Garbage Fly or Dump Fly - Ophyra sp. or Neomyia sp. Family Muscidae but not sure.
To give an idea of the size the perch is the leaf of a grevillea so the fly is about 6 mm dia. and 25mm long

Looks like a generic Dunny Budgie to me.
Thanks for the inputs, I got it now it is a Green Signal Fly - Lamprogaster imperialis Family Platystomatidae
