    A fine images indeed.
We recently inherited some late model gear from my wife's parents.
Been reading up a lot about it,still have not much idea what we are doing.
Noticed some of your pics on some bird photo forums. Will have to join them as there is a lot to learn.

Yes, join a forum and read the critique on the photos so you get an idea of how to compose an image and what people are looking at.
For birds the Australian forum Feathers and Photos is among the best and the members are top people with excellent knowledge.
I am not very active on it now because the limitations on my gear for avian photography.
The other forum that I am a member is Naturescapes, again great membership specially in the landscaping section.

You have good camera and the 400mm lens will allow you to get closer to the birds.

    Cheers
    Arthur

A quick snapshot, I would like it to have a nicer pose but the perch was to nice to ignore.
