    I have been trying to capture a photo of this little Splendid Fairy-wren for months during our morning walk. He is usually only there when I leave the camera at home, but this morning we got lucky:

    I borrowed from my son his Nikon D300s with the awesome Nikon 300mm f/4 and took from the distance these snap shots of New Holland honey eaters in his garden.

    Messing around with a Nikon 1 V3

    [Nikon 1 V3 , FT-1 Adapter and Nikkor 70-300VR]

    It's awkward not having a viewfinder and having to rely on the LCD.
