Post your birdlife shots

Bought a new compact yesterday, a Canon SX60HS with a 65x optical zoom so tried a few shots this morning. All hand held with various zoom levels and 'auto' setting.
A bit better than the HTC phone but not up the standards of you guys with the DSLR's. However, I needed a reasonably compact, all round camera for travel.

I'm in awe of people who can shoot birds, they have patience i clearly don't.

That's a ripper Steven.... Lyre birds are not that easy to capture. Nice one.

The pros generally recon one in 350 shots is generally a keeper......;)

We try for Birds In Flight which is a major challenge most of the time..

Untouched photo I took recently of an Alpine Chough 3000m above sea level when he was taking a little walk. Cute little guy.

new variety i spotted while going out to the van to see if the air cond was still working :p

was windy as hell so they aren't too sharp....

dragged into the local bookstore this evening by the girl of my dreams and spotted a hard cover copy of Neville W Cayley's "what bird is that?" on special for $30 while I wandered round trying to look half intelligent...

snavelled it and started to browse through it when I got home...
