Maybe mine is a female fig too... Makes a bloody annoying noise. I do have a fig tree which I actually only realised last year after living in this house for 6 years hahahahah

I quite like this little bird - its not in your face like its male counterpart - sometimes the male is so red its hard to look at. We see the female quite often - the male , hardly at all.

I have not used the camera for more than 6 months so I am rusty :(
This 3 shots are among few that I have done with the purpose of removing the cobwebs on the D300s
The birds were about 50 meters from me and I used the Nikon 70-300 @ 300 mm to get them.
