Write the keywords and tags to the image's metadata and then it will pick it all up when you import.
One would think (I think) that Adobe would be consistent with keywords (Tags) across their apps...but NO! I've done a lot of tagging (some 2000 images) in PSE. Now having moved to CS5 I want to continue tagging (called keywords in CS5) but CS5/Bridge will only import a tab indented txt file, while PSE will only export an xml file.
Yes, I can manually edit the xml file, line by line, and create a text file but there must be an easier way?
Surely?![]()

Derek, PSE has placed the tags in the metadata for each image file, so CS5 can see the existing tags for each individual photo, no problems.
To explain, I've scanned some 4000 photos belonging to my extended family for safe keeping and some restoration. I then started to tag them to make searching easier.
I want to continue to tag the remaining 2000 odd pics but to do that efficiently I need to import the list of tags from PSE.
Sorry I misunderstood what you meant. So you just want to migrate the tag database from PSE into CS5 so that you can then assign the same tag words?

Import to Bridge CS5 is done in the Keyword menu
