    Keyhole Nebula

    This is the Keyhole Nebula.
Taken with a Canon EOS 350D with the IR filter removed, coupled-up to a 10" reflector. 30 Second exposure.
The skies were kind that night, the first time in ages that there was no cloud.
    Point Lookout Observatory, QLD.

Thanks Stooge, it wasn't nearly so good with the IR filter in-place.
The operation to remove it was a very stressful 3 hours, but the results are worrth the effort.
