Just going through some old pics today in the lousy weather and came across these which we took when on hols at our daughter & son-in-law’s place when they were bringing up a few orphaned kangaroos.

After a hard days grazing, wonder what’s on - ……maybe Skippy???

No, ‘Elvis (the kangaroo)’ wasn’t spoilt much ……………………..

'Elvis' was hand raised by Sharon and Alfred from a tiny joey after his mother was killed.

He has since been rehabilitated at a wildlife park at Batchelor and still comes in for a daily pat.

Now that is different, most of us have to carefully approach our photo subjects.

LOL ...."Elvis" would be the one approaching us - especially if we were carrying a camera - or better still some food. He would join us every morning for toast - and believe me, as he grew bigger he could reach everything on the table

He also got on wonderfully with their dogs - a Staffy cross & a Bull Arab cross. Even slept with them in their very large kennel.

Everyone missed him when he went to Batchelor, he was a big hit with visitors - but he had to go, he was just getting too BIG.

There are not many of them because they died by eating cane toads
