I got a new toy last week and whilst over in Darwin for a few days have been playing with it. It turns out the X100 is reasonable at infrared with a filter like the Hoya R72 and will even work with some of the higher wavelength filters but needs longer exposure times. Also the optical/Electronic view finder makes viewing things very easy as you can see both the normal or filtered view.

Anyway here are some examples. Most have been edited with the Red/Blue channels swapped and also taken with a custom white balance (set using some foliage with the R72 in place.
