    Advice request (Canon IXUS)

My little Canon Ixus really does cop a hiding, and lately I seem to have some spots on the same place on every pic,

like the blue sky shot below which really shows them up....

I have cleaned the outside surface of the lens (as best I can) but it seems to be internal.

My questions are this - is it terminal ? - or can I clean it (or get it cleaned)

    thanks .....

    example of problem......

Looks like dust/fungus on the sensor. Don't know how much it would cost to clean the sensor on a compact but it probably means dismantling it.

    Most likely on the sensor.

Would be over $100 to clean Id guess. Is it worth it?
