    Freeware photo editor for Mac?

I'm planning on borrowing SWMBO's Macbook Pro for a trip and need a (preferably) freeware photo editor. On that would at least open RAW files. Any ideas please?

I use Irfanview a lot for work but it doesn't seem to be available for Mac.

    Cheers.

If you aren't doing any crazy editing, why jot just use iPhoto, which should be installed by default on your Macbook Pro??

Snapseed isn't free but it isn't expensive and between it and iPhoto you'd have a much better solution than Photoshop Elements.
Gimp - as mentioned - would be the other option if you want Photoshop ability.

IPhoto or the software that your camera came with.
