    Armidale - Waterfall Way

I am currently having a break from the Brisbane heat in Armidale. Did this last year as well. This time we took a helicopter flight for something different to do.

    Nice photo of beautiful country.
It will be nice to have a shack near the edge of the gorge

It's amazing how deep the gorges are too Arthur, and there are two falls there, Wollomombi and Chandler Falls which come in at right angles to each other.

When the Camera comes home I'll have a look if any are worth uploading. (It's in the Patrol ATM)

Thanks Rick, I am looking forward to see them
Is the edge of the gorge accessibly by car or there are private properties on it?

The gorge is National Park (part of the Oxley Wild Rivers NP) but farms go up to the edge.

It's only about 4km or so off The Waterfall Way which is the main road between Armidale and the coast and the road in to the falls goes to a well maintained picnic area with multiple viewing spots and walks.

I didn't have time to explore much, it was a 'stretch our legs and keep going' stop unfortunately, but I want to get back there over the next few months with the Deefer and explore a bit as it's only 3hrs from home.

These falls are an easy walk.
