what go pro should i get?

It seems that go pro is the best on the market at the moment but i am still undecided what to get.
I would intend on using it as an underwater occasionally.
The main reason I want one is for when I am bike riding.
I intend on going on a big bike ride this year for a few weeks from sweden trough denmark and to germany so i want something i can use to record some of my journey.
One of my main concerns is the battery life.
Also for those who have just got one or who are looking for one where is the best place to get one?
and for those who have them or something similar how to rate them? and have you had any issues with them?
    cheers Tony.
    oh and bike riding=push bike

I would say the GoPro silver is the pick of them. I have a GoPro black and the 4k video is a waste of time for most people. Kogan have a good price on the silver last time I looked. Buy the battery back and you will get better life out of the batteries.

depends on your budget....if you dont have a great deal of money...I would say just go for the Hero..

If you got a bit more money then go a Hero2....the newest ones are nice as they are slimer but you can still pretty much do anything on a 2 that you can on a silver just means you have to buy the wifi back rather than have it built in
Our Land Rover does not leak oil! it just marks its territory.......

price probably isnt the problem i just want what would be the best for my purposes for the money.
I see the accessories add up to a bit of money though

Just having a look now and the white is too crap for the money and the black is probably not worth the extra money for my uses so it will be the silver probably the hero 3. on the gopro website they are $299 but everywhere else seems to be $360+ I didnt go to the checkout to see how expensive shipping was if they charge for it but it is normally the other way around, can anyone shine some light on this?

I have the Hero2, great little camera. Battery life is around 2 hours i now have 4 batteries. It's very simple and does the job.
