Kaye and I were up in the area (Nth of Silverton) back in 2008 parked on top of an escarpment looking East for sunset pics over the mountains (which were very mediocre) and nearly missed this storm approaching from the West.

Looking forward to the workshop, how's the numbers look Lou ?

Success!!! I have just been given the details so we can pay deposits

Michael got a tad confused at what I was asking for and have me all the camping details again.

I will post up payment instructions tonight in a separate thread so it doesn't get lost in this one

What I would really like done though is for people to post in the details thread of there deposits paid so I can keep track if numbers to make sure we have enough.
I will confirm with Michael but I would assume if we paid deposits and there was not enough to run the group that the deposit would be carried over to one of his other classes that are held out there.

Rather than a workshop soley for us, if that make sense

EDIT: I will post up payment details once Michael clarifes the question about the deposits stay tuned!!

With low numbers of people in this situation, would it be easier to manage via PM - eg send deposit details to those who have expressed interest, and we reply to let you know we've paid?

I was interested in doing this trip but dramas to date have put me off. I would have thought he'd be chasing our business, not the other way around. Thanks for your efforts DB and I hope it works out to be a great trip.

    Cheers.

I imagine he schedules x number of courses each year.....the AULRO one is an extra which I assume would be more workload to organise........plus we have no idea what his other commitments are.

I registered on one of his scheduled courses and his communication has been OK. The course was brought forward one day which he advised ages ago and as we have included the course in a two week holiday it was not a biggie.

I wouldn't call a bit of miscommunication dramas........the main concern is getting the numbers so that the course runs.

    Hi Guys

unfortunately I have been waiting to hear from Michael about my question of deposits and what happens to deposits if we dont get the numbers up (which i'm worried we wont do now) since the 9th Jan.

I think he has been away working in this period however.

I think a large portion of the original interest has been lost and the interest that I have seen here is not enough to run a group now.

I'm really sorry to those that have taken leave from work as I did, however you maybe able to book in on his easter work shop which was in fact followed directly after the one we had planned.

I may even attempt to get on this one myself.

I'm going to give it until Thurs to see if he does get back to me about the deposits

I was really looking forward to this as well. *sigh*

    Hey Weeds

just wondering how did your course go????

I never got the opportunity to go in the end as I planned to go onmy own to one of his workshops but my dog got really sick and ended up spending a couple of thousand dollars on him....

Might try again for next year though

We pulled the pin....due to my wife's UNI commitments. He never acknowledged my email cancelling, no surprise really.
