So I tried doing a shot for Transport. I'm not really sure if it works or not though.

    There you go Andrew,

I edited your link.... the image thing only works on http not https..so I deleted the "S" for you

I like the concept... but I agree, I'm not sure it works.... It kind of does... not quite sure what doesn't.

For me the focus should have been a bit further down the road, maybe around the second 40 sign, but then I'm not sure what the dof would be like, but I think it would pull the eyes into the pic better.

    I agree with bushie...

For me and remember its everyone's personal taste when looking at a photo.

There is way to much going on, on the left side. The sign is nice and sharpe but its so sharp that it draws me straight to it and its not interesting enough for me to stay engaged with it but I find it hard to look off around the scene

Which I know that's not what you want hence everything being else being out of focus.

I don't think it helps that you have taken the sign to the edge of the frame either.

Do we want a theme in transport? Rail, flight, road?

I think transport makes sense Ron,not sure if we need it more specific than that.

I grabbed this on Wednesday night on my way home. Currently straight out of he phone.... might see if I can do anything to it with Lightroom.

It does look better on a smaller screen than here.....plenty of other options though..Trains... Balloons...... Land Rovers....

    Did someone say Land Rovers.?

The Pacific Dawn was in town today...

The theme is transport but I was trying for something different.

Maybe too much happening in this one...
I was thinking of calling it "Where's my riverside view gone!"

Boost to the reds in this one.

I like the life boat one mainly because its framed within a frame... and there is also a fair bit of symmetry going on
