    Smile Gopro Mounts

    Hi

Looking to buy a Gopro Camera, I have a defender 300Tdi that i am looking to mount the camera to view out of the windscreen, what mounts have people found the most effective?
Would these be suction, adhesive and in what location on the screen have you found to give the best view?
As I have not done any of this filming before, any advice or pearls of wisdom are appreciated.

    Cheers Decibelcore

Suction mount, so you film out of the lower windscreen gives a pretty good result

Mine was stuck on for a 6 week trip into the centre, never moved. (admittedly there wasn't always a camera attached). Unfortunately in the waterproof case sound suffers.

From my point of view you need to be able to see part of the vehicle to give perspective.

Mine came with the skeleton back for nonwater use but so far found the microphone to be pretty good even in the waterproof case.
Good point about including part of vehicle to add scale or reference.

Just use a stick on on the top of the dash or ash tray

I use a stick on mount on the roof of the 4WD and then have the skeleton case and power it with a cigarette 12V to usb adapter, can shoot for 8 hours plus.

I reckon the RAM mount is the best on the market (thought pricey).
Rock solid if mounted on a solid base...NO movement in the adjustable arms once locked in place, and can be used on motorbikes, ultralights, mountain bikes, whatever.
