    Stolen Gear - Sydney

    Hi guys,

I had someone break into my brother's car on Melbourne Cup night the other day. Stupidly I had my camera gear in the car. It was parked at home in a secure underground carpark near Hornsby (Sydney NSW).

    The following items were stolen:
    Canon 1DX - Serial #: 195019000070
    Canon 17-40mm L - Serial #: 1865765
    Canon 24-70mm L - Serial #: 882433

It was all in a black & Lime green Crumpler 7MDH.

If anyone comes across some super good deals on anything please PM me and let me know some details!

I also found this great website which all your gear is posted on, you can flag it all as stolen, and if anything from said serials numbers gets uploaded it will alert you. (www.lenstag.com)

    Thanks!

I'd also be trawling around the cash converters stores and the like in your neighbourhood.

Seems Black and Lime Crumplers are as common as belly buttons...... Mine's not yours either

I did a few searches around my area, and only found 1 or 2 which I'll try call today. According to google maps they've been closed though.

Sadly although the gear was insured I won't be able to replace the Black/Green crumpler... It looks like they don't make it anymore. Could just be out of stock on their website though...
