iPom, you take some spectacular landscapes.... I particularly like this one. :)

Thanks Mark, I really appreciate the kind words. I've only been shooting for a couple of years but I have developed a big passion for photography. I'm constantly looking to improve and I think thats the real key with improving your image capture. I had a nice return from the ATO so I upgraded my DSLR to a Nikon D7200 and also a Nisi V5 filter kit, which is similar to the Lee Filter system.
I'm not interested in making a living from it, if anything I would rather teach others how to improve their photography, thats one of the reasons I post on this page so i can maybe give a wee bit of encouragement to anyone who is starting out.

Dave, you seem to have a great eye for what makes an interesting shot.
I'm another Nikon shooter ;) (D500 and D750)..like you, I don't want to make my living out of it, but have grown a real passion (read addiction) for it over the last few years.
I just need to find a way to get out with the cameras more.... ;)

Thanks Mark, i'm constantly looking for scenes as I walk or drive around, I look for lines, shapes and I now find that I can just turn up somewhere and come with a half decent image.... I do push myself to get out on most weekends and my boss is pretty cool about me nipping off from work to grab a shot

Empress falls in the blue mountains. Terrible weather but made do.

While we are on the Blue Mountains. The day before i went to empress falls. We walked around the Grand Canyon. It had been raining heavily the day before so all the waterfalls were going. Even in places you didn't think there should be.

Snapped this when I was a bit younger working in the grain harvest while travelling around the country in my trusty D1 (R.I.P)
It's a bit blurry as I had climbed up a grain bunker to get the image and the wind was blowing me around.
Shortly after snapping this the foreman drove by and told me "to get the %$#% down you idiot".
