A long, long time ago in my 20's I was interested in taking up gliding. My old man was a flight engineer and all his mates were the same, or pilots, etc. Made the booking at a nearby airstrip, spoke to the instructor, all set to go. The day before my maiden flight the instructor was killed in a glider crash:(, and my enthusiasm went with it:eek:.
I can still appreciate it from the ground though:angel:
