Thanks Incisor :) And I'm really enjoying your photos in/around Bribie - I did a lot of growing up there and still have family on the Island.

That's my trusty Nikon D40/18-55, with a lightweight Manfrotto Modo Maxi 785B tripod; lens wide open for 21 minutes. I also use the Canon S90 and a number of film cameras: Pentax K1000 & Nikon FE x 2.

Taken at Birdsville a couple of weeks ago is this little critter. Body about the size of a small rabbit. Basically round in shape with a long skinny tail. Sits up on its haunches a bit like a Quoka. Quite timid.
No idea what it is, anyone out there know?

I reckon it's a Bettong or Potoroo, but definitely not a Quokka.

Thanks Arthur it certainly looks a bit like a Quokka but it would have to be on holiday as it's several thousand Km's out of the Quokkas distribution area.
