    sadly the last occupant of my rather large silky oak

    a North American Samoa orange shirted tree lopper.

    sadly it had to go..








    am really going to miss all the noise the birds created chattering away in the tree all year round.

    Did you keep any of the logs? Silky makes beautiful furniture, windows etc and it's not easy to come by now. Not many of them grow that big

    Avro plane at the Bert Hinkler Museum in Bundaberg. Excellent museum.
    Amusing that our Defender has a higher cruising speed than Hinkler's plane.
