Nikon D60 comes in a nice twin-lense pack for around that.

Wait for DM TD5 to get back to you!

Yeah for that price Nikon D60 or if you want to be considered in the same light as a Cruiser owner get a Canon EOS450D.

For point and shoot though: Panasonic or Canon are the pick of the bunch.

Hi Mick I just bought a Fuji-film Fine-pix S1000 fd for my wife for Christmas it has 12 times optical zoom and is 10 mega pixels. The camera comes with all the good stuff like face recognition anti shake etc... I used the camera on new years eve to take photo of the fire work on Sydney harbor. I was perch on a roof 37 floors up at St Leonards which is about 4 k from the bridge, I took 40 odd full frame photo's and they turned out great. The S1000 cost $320 but I got it on sale for $275, well worth the money.
