There is a VR version @ f2.8 ! Twice the price though.

Took half those pics without the tripod.

Nice.... f/2.8 VR would be even better...

Keep posting the pic's an how good it is

Don't worry it's going to get a BIG workout at the airshow next month... just need a second body and a pack mule to carry my gear around, ah the wife

See if you can get a TC-17 or TC-20 for it. The 1.7x will step it down by 1.5 stops, the 2x by a full 2 stops, but think of the extra reach if its a nice sunny day.
