    Native visitors

We have had a bit of rain here in Bundy lately (as have most of Qld). The other night, a couple of locals decided it was too wet outside so they came in. Nan has been feeding them on the verandah for some time now and found the male was quite happy to take some bread out of her hand.

[QUOTE=Chucaro;921463]I am telling you with this weather in Moore Park beach any time we are going to have brown snakes near the home

Well, we have had a couple of thunderstorms in the last few evenings, along with it being hot & steamy during the day, and today Erich had to "eradicate" (ie ) a 6ft brown snake which had just shed its skin near our front verandah.

We are normally VERY tolerant of reptiles here - including snakes, but not so close to the house.

Out came the lawnmower & weed eater.

Just to make sure it was dead

I'm told the best way to kill a snake is to cut it's tail off

As close as possible to it's head
(not that I would normally advocate killing any snake).
