    Some deep space astrophotography

I have a couple of telescopes and various cameras I use at "prime focus" on them. Here's a short collection of photos I've taken over the past year or so.

    Thanks for looking!

    1) M42 - the Great Orion Nebula

    2) Eta Carinae Nebula

    3) NGC2070 - the Tarantula Nebula

    4) B33 - the Horsehead Nebula

    Thanks all

Mick - no, I've never put it up. I have a ton of better data than this that I need to process first...

    Cheers!

I remember being told last November by Brian that the best part about the Desert in Oz was the night sky.

At the time (before Id seen it) I was preparred to accept it. A week later I was mesmorised by it -absolutely amazing.

Seeing those photos only reinforced my memories of those spectacular skies. Its a fact you dont see anything other than cloud and Orange Sodium lights from here in the UK!!
    Regards,
    Jon

Yeah I remember my first time sleeping in an open swag in the most remote parts of the Pilbara desert. The things I saw in the sky that night....amazing.
