This comp's rules..
1. 2 pictures ok but only one can be an old photo (shot before 29/7/2009).
2. The photos must be black and white.
If you'd like, you can leave one element of the photo coloured. (See this thread for methods and examples) The colour highlight is not a requirement though.
Sepia toning or other 'colourising' is also ok but the feeling of the picture must be monochrome. Less is more!
For performing the conversions, there are many free programs that will turn an image into black and white. If you don't know where to start, I recommend Picasa3 from google. It's quick and simple and gives good quality results.
