    Photo Competition #40 - Ends 27th December

    Subject is:

    2009

What's your best picture over the past year? Any picture is allowed but must of been taken in 2009.

    Special rules:
    1) DSLR users one photo only, two if the other is a P&S camera.
    2) P&S users allowed two photos

    3) Nikon D3S and other FF camera owners only allowed to shoot at ISO12800 and above, f10 and up, no tripod, stabilised lenses, lens hoods, filters, PP, external light sources (including sun) are permitted.

Just kidding on the last rule!

What's the limit for film cameras? and does the film format make a difference? In short, do I get one or two photos? Don't worry, will post as scans

Film users can get two as well. Bonus points from me if you manage to retain that film like grain.

Steve, I'm thinking it would have to be a roll of film allowed. But I'm not making the rules up.

As for D3s - Most of my shots this year are with the D200 so I doubt it will be off the new camera

Sure, it is one photo of the one subject.

    My favorite photo of 2009:

The Ikon Cinema, it's proprieter Rick and the Rick's Flick's film club have been, well, icons of Toowoomba in recent years. This was taken at the "after party" at the cinema's closure. Camera, lens and poster all more than 50 years old.

A bit of fun with this one: taken with Pentax DSLR and standard zoom lens, no filters, no post-processing.

I have 4 favourite shots: A panorama from WA, a Tasmanian creek (which is my desktop), an aerial shot of the Bungle Bungles and this one...

Smile for the camera little kitty

Taken at the Taronga Zoo - July 2009. D200 + 70-200 f/2.8, cropped but otherwise as shot.
