    Photo Competition #03 - ends 17th January, 2010

    Ditch the tech!

Remember the 'hi tech' comp from last year? Well, this is the opposite.

Old machines, old techniques, old skool, anything that says 'I don't need any new-fangled gizmo. This is just fine.'

    Rules..

See here for the general rules.

    Additional Rules..

#1. Picture must be shot on digital and photoshopped for correct exposure, composition and any flaws cloned out.

    #2. Ignore rule 1. It's a joke.

    Good hunting..

Here's an old one to get everyone started..

It was taken in my father in law's shed with my old Canon Ixus 500 resting on a blacksmith's anvil, of all things.

As a rule of thumb, the heading refers to the subject of the photo. The rules refer to what techniques can be used.

This week's subject is 'old tech'. There are no restrictions on what photographic techniques can be used.

    Old Gas

I am almost old enough to remember these pumps being used. I did go a bit nuts with Adobe Light Room.
