Versa Light - info and retailers?

Hi, does anyone know who sells versa lights and their bulbs etc in Northern Brisbane?

My fluoro version is blinking a lot and i think will cease starting shortly.

I'm not sure of the cause whether its the tube or whether these lights have a 'starter' like a home fluro or if its all built into the tube unit).

    Anyone?

The new LED versa light looks good too, but a bit more exy !
It's not broken. It's "Carbon Neutral".

Crikey, I thought it would have been hard to be more exxy than the standard one given that is over twice the price of all the other brands.

Sorry Vlad, I don't know the answer to your question but a skim through the Burn-Brite website suggests there are no starter units required - it is all in the globe.

In spite of what i said in above, I'm a big believer in Versa-Lite; love mine. Someone told me that the reason they are so efficient and reliable is they are 12v only and not dual voltage. Dunno if that's true, but Ive looked at the other brands and (sigh) they seem a bit "Prado" to me.

I think the Piranha unit is the same as the BurnBrite unit.

    Hi VladTepes,

I just bought one a couple of weeks ago from a company called Springers at 704 Gympie rd Lawnton. Ph 38898897. They even gave me a spare fluro tube that is brighter than the original for nothing.

Damn, didn't realise how expensive those things are, or that I own one.

Guess I'd better stop the kids playing with it and leaving it out in the rain.

Just had a look at the Springers site.. they don't seem to have the LED version there.
