    Roof top tent for 110

We are looking at a quick set up camping options for the 110. Although I hate the cost, the best I can find is a eezi awn rt 7 rooftop tent which is about 2400 x 2200 when opened. This fits the 110 roof or the top of the track trailer (with a small overhang at the front) and is big enough for two adults and two kids. We are also thinking of an awning.

Any comments on eezi awn tents would be appreciated. I haven't seen one in the flesh yet. The tent i am thinking about is here

thanks, I looked at them. Their tents are not big enough for the family. I like the Hannibal awning.

I have an ARB touring tent, I like the zip up cover which keeps the moisture and dust out.

I think on memory when we used the inlaws Ezy awn we had to tie up the cover on with a lace (rope).

It is important to keep the moisture out to prevent the onset of mould, this can cause rotting and a very unpleasant smell which is impossible to remove.

As long as you keep this in mind they are all quite similar, we always get a great nights sleep in ours.

Mate I put an ezi awn on top. I am very happy with it so far - easy to put up and down, very dry and warm.

There is a photo of it up in the show us your deefers section

thanks for that I didn't know about these. I spoke to Hannibal and will have a look at their 1.8 x 2.4 tent next week. They wont have their 2.0 x 2.4 tent for about 6 weeks.

thanks, found the pic. How do you find the quality of the tent? Did you buy the eezi awn awning, if yes how do you find it? I see the one in the pic has no ropes keeping it up. thanks.

Have a look at AusTrack - seem to be great to deal with and their tent seems much bigger than others which helps with kids: Tent (folded out).....3150mm x 1440mm x 1320mm high. (note: usual for other brands is 2.4M long).

And guess where one of them is going?

Put my order in a few weeks ago for one, can't wait for it to arrive. Spent the morning poking my nose into as many camp sites on Bribie ocean side to see what sites would suit the height requirements.

Peter has a few 1.8m tents available now, we just prefer going to the extra size and twin ladders. So we have to wait.
