Engel problem

Because the power light is a LED and takes minimal power to operate, does not always mean there is enough power to kick in the compressor.

The fuse is good.

I was under the impression Engels should run on a power draw down to about 10-10.5 volts before they will not run.

My fridgey mate allways says "99% of car fridge problems are power supply not fridge!!"

When I said it was the connection side of things... I was talking about the fridge side of the connection. Pretty rare for the cord to stuff. As CraigE said, the light draws bugger all, my light would come on as well but no run on the compressor. I had plenty of power, 13.8V to the plug at the fridge.

pretty sure you will find that an engel compressor 'swing motor?' will run at voltages into the single figures

Yah... fridge will run right down.. The engel is less sensitive to voltage then the Waeco

Doesn't that translate as," The Engel will keep running until it stuffs your battery. The Waeco has better low voltage cutout to protect the battery"? :)
