    Camping Checklists

I'm going camping this weekend and just wondering if anyone has a good check-list of things to take \ do before heading off?

I'm determined to not forget anything on this trip... (Not gonna happen )

    x2.

But Dave, you're too young to become an anal retentive, obsessive compulsive list maker like me (and Vlad).

I love a list as much as the next bloke but for me the camping list is short. The main list is for day to day things like clothing, camera, GPS, thongs, Tevas, wash bag, sunnies, wallet, Akubras etc. The stuff you'd pack to go visit mates/rellies in the country or another city.

80% of the camping stuff lives in two boxes. One is spares/recovery gear. The other is for kitchen stuff, cooking gear. I don't need to raid the kitchen because I've doubled up the important things. My kitchen box, has its own Peugeot pepper grinder, cooks knife and sharpener & beer glasses. I like to eat and drink very well on and off the track.

On top of the two boxes is a few big things, swag, Engel, chair, camp oven. All done.

Okay, a case of wine, bottle of malt, and two cartons of Little Creatures. Can you think of a better time to open the bottle of something special than between a camp fire, your Landy and underneath the stars? I don't need a list to pack those.

I have a very short list, having a camper trailer is one advantage, 90% of everything is already in the camper.

I put the fridge, beer and whiskey in the car and the missus packs the rest

    1) Fridge

    2) Beer

    3) Malt whiskey, Irish and Scotch

    Baz.
    Cheers Baz.
