    Black*Wolf*Turbo*Lite*Twin

Thinking of upgrading our tent and looking at Black*Wolf*Turbo*Lite*Twin. I have seen how the bw turbo lite setup but not the twin version.
Anyone has or has any experience with this tent?
Is it easy to setup/pack? Whats the weight or how long when its pack up?

Just returned from a long weekend away with our BW turbo lite twin 300.
Pretty much the first time all the family have been away tenting together -2 adults, 3 kids (8 to 13) and the first time I've set it up apart from a test setup at home when I bought it last year.

    The setup and timings
    - mesh underfloor - 1 min to layout
    - unpack and peg 4 corners - 5 mins
    - lift main part of tent and put in poles for the end rooms - 5 mins
    - put fly on tent and peg down - 10 mins

all in all - about 20 mins to do it all and pretty much just myself. Next time, 2 hammers to speed up pegging it down. Setting up is very easy and even going quite slow and methodically still outpaced my mate who had 3 people setting up his dome tent. Without the fly, it would take you less than 10 mins for 1 person to setup quite realistically.

A bit longer to pull down and pack away depending on how well you clean it up and whether it is wet or not. Getting it back in the bag is probably the biggest challenge. Still quicker to pack though than the dome. I recon it probably took around 30-40 minutes to pack it up which included wiping/drying the base, packing ropes, pegs and getting it back in the bag. You could probably get this done in about 20 mins with practice and quicker with help.

The twin 300 was an excellent size for us. Basically 3 areas. 2 private sleeping areas, one at the end which you can screen off, and a middle area for storage or room for a kid or 2 if needed. Very happy with it space wise, setup and packup.

The only question I have about it is the fly design that doesnt completely cover the ends as we got some condensation forming on the ends. Possibly I didn't have the end walls tight enough which may have allowed it to settly on the sides though. I would also put up both awnings on the side doors (or peg it away) as side awning will sit on the tent if it isn't put up or pegged away.

The twin 300 is a big tent at 6.6m x 3m and does come in a large bag. In my D3 the bag needs to sit diagonally in the back to fit in which is a problem if I have the fridge in. As there are 5 of us, the trailer is required for all the gear anyway so not a massive drama for us. You might struggle to camp with just the car only with this tent.

I can put up a proper canvas frame tent in 20 minutes. Even with a crook knee and arthritis.

Had to put the tent up in some rain this weekend so under a bit of pressure. From start to finish under 5 minutes including the undersheet and fly. About 20 mins to pack it up which including wiping down the base which was a bit wet underneath. Pretty happy with it over the Easter break.
