Sahara Ebay Roof top tent, anyone had any experience

    Hi

Looking at getting a RTT for a snow trip this year and to use on the car and trailers when out bush, has anyone experienced these ebay specials? NEW ROOF TOP TENT.CAMPER . RIPSTOP.TRAILER.ROOFTOP TENT .2.5 M AWNING + NET MSQ | eBay looks the goods to me, and it's made in the same place as ARB (South Africa). I will probably just get the tent and annexe and not the awning, so would cost $799 + $50 postage. If anyone has any horror stories, please stop me buying it haha

    Cheers
    Will

Seems identical to the "ARB" version which is made in China (see also the Austrack version ) ...to get the awning and annexe included for that price is an excellent deal. If the weather is kind, and no-one is using the 'upstairs' the ladder can be disengaged and stowed elsewhere thereby giving full access to the annexe. The tent is more than capable of carrying the weight of the extended floor...providing there's no load on it.

    Great to know this thanks.

Dumb question - do they fit on any roof rack?
Or do they come with their own?

They have a section of channel along the roof, then they line up with roof bars, like old style rhino racks for a Disco (i use this example as it's what i have) then they have a bit of plate that goes under the bar and another bolt on the other side (from the pictures i have seen). Some of the real poverty pack ones just bolt through the floor to the rack, but the one i will get has channel.
