    Generator Q

Just thought I would seek some advice from those who might know. My Dad wants to get a generator so they can keep their van powered when not in parks & wondered what was good (& quiet). I have heard the new Hondas are meant to be good. Anyone have any advice here. Thanks.

Yes Honda does have a nice quiet generator. Don't know what size you need but I suspect that the 2kVA should do most, 1 kVA might.

    Generator

G day, I have been servicing & repairing the EU inverter series Honda genis for as long as they have been sold in Aus. In all that time I have only had to repace the inverter microprocessor in two units. One because the processor had failed & the other due to its connection to the idle control. This is not a cheap replacement but very rare in my experience. If you are wanting to run a large van A/C unit the Eu20 would be the minimum I would( & do ) use. I would also recommend using as short a extension lead as is practical. I am not a Honda fan as such but they do have the coverage & quality in this market. Also most if not all Honda motorcycle shops are also power product dealers. Which is not the case for the other Jap brands. Regards Chris.

P.S; I have also had to replace one oil alert switch which means a case split, really not a big deal at all.
