    Bump ....

We use one of these ... http://2daloo.com/rainman.html

Leaves both hands free to shower & wash. Cost more than the Companion, but due to the construction it looks like it's a once in a lifetime purchase. Easy hot shower for 2 people ... even late at night.

What works for me and my family more than 40 years ago still works today.

A simple canvas bucket with a copper rose head under it.
They are hard to find in exarmy stores.
The canvas bucket has a piece of rope tide to it to throw over a tree branch or tent ridge pole etc to raise or lower the bucket.
    The advantages are many.
    Cheap
    reliable
Canvas bucket and rose head collapsed takes no room and no weight.
    Little water use.
A bucket of water will give one person a very good shower.
You turn the water on and off by spinning the rose head.
The ex army ones are the ones to get as they have the large rose head that makes these things work so well.
When camping most people have a billy of hot water in the fire and that is all that is needed.
Lower the canvas bucket and top it off with the billy, raise it again with the rope and shower away.
I have seen civie versions, but they don't work well because of the cheaper plastic and small rose heads.

The only down fall with the whole idea is the copper rose head can be easily damaged when the thing is rolled up and thrown in the by of the 4by and then a heavy object thrown on top of it and the 4 by driven over a bumpy track etc......
It must be a top load only.

A bit out of my price range at the moment. Maybe if i quit my job and start traveling then will i buy one. But this looks great

Road Shower - The Rack Mounted Solar Shower - New Model

It holds 18L of water which is heated up by the sun as you drive along. Also on the back you can attach your air compressor to pressurize the tank. Perfect to rock up at the end of the day and just reach up, pull down the hose and nozzle and its all ready to go.

The canvas bucket works great for bush camping, better still if you can get a fire happening for that warm shower. All others between this and a shower at the camp ground or motel are little changes for degrees of comfort. How much you want to pay is up to you for whatever changes you want.
