    Coleman Dual Fuel Lantern Disassembly

    G'day again all!

    The last time I fired her up, the light output was terrible. New mantles, of course. I got a replacement generator tube, no difference. No problems with building up pressure, and I've checked the piston cup thingy.

    With everything stripped to this level, cap back on and pump back in, when I build up pressure and then open the valve, I don't seem to get very much pressure.

    Does anybody know if it can be disassembled further than this? Exploded diagrams I've found seem to show that the valve assembly is threaded into the base, but I've been unable to budge it (valve assembly in the vice, trying to turn the base with both hands).

    Ha! I did think of that, and put as much force on it the other way, still wouldn't budge.
